Here in the Heritage Program office we are getting ready for the final Summer festival which is the Navajo Festival. The office is buzzing with the sounds of clicking keyboard keys and the swooshing of paper being folded and put into acceptance letters and artist packets. We are just busy bees here trying to make sure this festival go seamlessly. We the heritage team are so excited for this festival and no its not because it is the last one for the summer. We are excited because there will be many great artists here to show off and sell there amazing art works. The Navajo Festival will be the weekend of August 4th and 5th from 9am to 5pm at the Museum of Northern Arizona.*Calling all Navajo Artists*:
If you still want to join in this festival that shows off the cultural importance of the Navajo Nation there is still time just get in your application ASAP!!!! For the artists there is a judging that is on Thursday. You can enter 3 pieces for the judging that have to be dropped off by 12 noon on Thursday, August 2nd.
