Movies at the Museum

Calling All Movie Buffs Can You Hear Me!!!!
Hey Everyone,

The Heritage Program is holding a film series that starts on Saturday April 21, 2012 from 2-4 p.m.
The price of this activity is included with admission to the museum.  This first film screening features Hopi Relationships with the Land and Sky.  The films that will be shown are The Hopi: Corn is Life and Hopi Songs of the Fourth World.  Both of these films are preeminent films that focuses on Hopi life but specifically how important corn is to their culture.  We are showing these films together because their content and cinematography mirror and complement each other with beautiful images and music.  Another exciting opportunity is that our very own MNA Director Dr. Robert Breunig and the narrator of The Hopi: Corn is Life Ramson Lomatewama are going to be here to present and discuss these films. This is a fun and informative program to bring the whole family to the museum to celebrate the Earth Day.

We will be holding two more Heritage Program Film Series in the future.
The second screening is on July 7, 2012 which we will be showing More than Frybread.
The third screening is on September 1 which we will be showing Return of Navajo Boy.
More information on those will be posted on here in the future.

If you can't make it to the first screening make sure to mark your calendars for the next two because it will be an experience you will not want to miss.  And if your going to the first film screening keep on coming for new fun filled times at the MNA.
Love,
Cynthia
